Peaceful Senior Living Just Minutes from the Action and Excitement of Downtown Greenville

Old man planting tress on Terrabella Summit gardenOur native Greenville, with its bustling art scene, plentiful outdoor recreation and fun foodie culture, was named “Friendliest City in the U.S.” by Condé Nast readers in 2020. As the unofficial capital of South Carolina’s mountainous Upstate region, Greenville is a perfect gateway to some of the area’s finest offerings, whether it’s tasty cuisine, the arts and outdoors, music and sports, or one the many sprawling and scenic state parks, all of which are forever within easy reach from TerraBella Summit’s preferred, central location.

As far as parks and recreation goes, one of the nation’s best is right here, as Falls Park on the Reedy is nationally known for its striking waterfall views, which are best seen from the Liberty Bridge, itself the only single-sided suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere. Not far from there is Cleveland Park, home of the Greenville Zoo and starting point for the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a world-class spot for biking, nature walks and taking in some of the beauty of the pstate. Home to anytime recreation, as well as concerts, festivals, theater productions and much more throughout the year, both parks are within 10 minutes of our front doorstep.

For arts and culture lovers, the Peace Center is the heart and soul of Greenville’s many offerings. The Peace Center itself is home to no less than five of the city’s premier performing arts organizations, including the Carolina Ballet, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, South Carolina Children’s Theatre and more. Walking distance from Main Street is also Heritage Green, the city’s arts and cultural campus, where a sprawling, shared green space unites quintessential stops like the Greenville County Museum of Art, Greenville Theatre, and Upcountry History Museum, to name a few.

Also not to be missed is the city’s Art in Public Places installations, which have turned Greenville into a city-wide gallery with more than 95 pieces, most of which have been thoughtfully placed throughout the Downtown corridor.

Baseball fans can cheer on the Greenville Drive in the revitalized West End and catch hard-hitting hockey action with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, whose home ice is in “The Well,” or Bon Secours Wellness Arena Downtown.

Indeed, whether strolling the RiverPlace, enjoying world-class dining and entertainment, or sampling the arts, craft beers or the eclectic mix of shops and restaurants that line Greenville’s friendly streets, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy here in our hometown. TerraBella Summit sits within easy reach of all this and so much more, including many of our own, favorite, neighborhood spots for dining and recreation. A convenient Downtown location, delightful small-town feel, and big-time possibilities for fun and entertainment just add to the list of reasons why TerraBella Summit provides a perfect setting for living well and enjoying life here in the Upstate.
