Tara Benson, has had the pleasure of serving TerraBella Little Avenue since 2016. She is a licensed nurse by trade and previously the Director of Nursing. Tara earned a Human Services Associates Degree and an Associates in Applied Science. For nearly 12 years, she has been dedicated to running assisted living communities for the residents’ best possible experience. Tara is a mother of five with two precious grandchildren. She comes from a large family with colorful personalities and has many fun and sweet memories with her grandparents who she preferred spending time. Her life is filled with many to people to care for personally and professionally. Tara is the oldest sibling and has always dedicated herself to caring for others with zeal. The relationships she has with our residents, families, and associates is what she truly values. When Tara isn’t spending time with the beloved residents and community, she is with her family sharing meals, laughs, and dancing together.

Senior Lifestyle Counselor

Ashley Eckenrod, began her career in senior living in 2012 as a concierge soon thereafter promoted to Business Office Manager, then began her current role here in 2016. Ashley’s favorite part of her position is that she gets to help seniors live a better quality of life and be a resource to families through their next journey in life. She loves sitting down with families and their loved ones and listening to what is important to them while sharing the wonderful benefits about TerraBella Little Avenue. Tara is thrilled to help transition families loved one(s) and ensure they are happy with their choice in Little Avenue. She has heard many times when a resident moves in that they feel at home and the team members are so caring. She believes the best part of her job is continuing to be part of residents’ lives and build friendships. Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her two children while watching her son play soccer and daughter ride horses. She also enjoys being on the lake, traveling, and hiking.

Roxanne Pelham

Director of Celebrations

Roxy Pelham joins TerraBella Little Avenue as Director of Celebrations. Born in Germany and having spent several years oversees, Roxy enjoys travelling and has been able to see most countries in Europe! Professionally, she began her career as a store manager for a goodwill prior to transitioning into senior living as a facilities supervisor at one of the larger retirement communities in Charlotte.During her time working in facility operations, she was exposed to the activities director role and fell in love with it, working her way into activities in 2018 where she has shone ever since.

 

In her free time, Roxy enjoys making jewelry, hiking, paddle boarding, and listening to music.

Jennifer Gorczyca - Director of Health & Wellness - headshot

Jennifer Gorczyca

Director of Health & Wellness

Jennifer Gorczyca, has gained more than 20 years of experience as a Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) in long term care and rehab settings. Jennifer’s mom was her inspiration for becoming a nurse and she was fortunate enough to grow up around grandparents and great-grandparents. She always had a special connection with seniors. Jennifer moved to Charlotte, NC in 2014 after growing up in upstate New York. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, playing board games, hiking in the woods, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Memory Care Director

Jade Sparrow, began her journey in senior assisted living in 2011 as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Medication Technician. Jade believes the best part of her position is leading the way in placing smiles on the residents’ faces. Every day in memory care is different which she thoroughly enjoys! Each resident and family has something unique about themselves, and she loves learning more about their story and how she could best preserve and nurture those memories. In her spare time, Jade loves spending time with her family and working out in the gym.

Suzy Delaney, has been in the senior living industry for more than 10 years. After graduating from Florida State University, Suzy was a stay-at-home mom, working from home as a Staffing Coordinator, until her children were in middle school. Suzy fell in love with the senior living industry and began her role as Staffing Coordinator at the community where she gradually worked her way up to Business Office Manager. She always enjoys hearing the residents’ stories and goes home every day with a full heart. Originally from Florida, she has lived in North Carolina for more than 20 years. She loves the outdoors, especially hiking and the beach, and enjoys spending time with her family (her son is a University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) graduate where her daughter currently attends). Suzy is available to answer any questions you or your loved ones may have about our community.

Maintenance Director

Vicente Hufana, has more than 6 years of experience in senior assisted living community maintenance and more than 10 years in building construction and manufacturing (7 years in Singapore and 3 years in the Philippines). He moved from the Philippines 6 years ago and currently resides in Charlotte. Vicente enjoys connecting with the residents and hearing their unique stories. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, watching TV series and movies, practicing film photography, and spending time with his spouse of more than ten years.

Memory Care Director

Brie joins TerraBella Little Avenue as Memory Care Director. A self described old soul, Brie loves singing, dancing, and having a good time, especially with our senior residents. Brie holds a Bachelors in exercise and sports science from University of South Carolina-Aiken and began her journey in geriatric care 3 years ago. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, she enjoys interacting with and meeting new people and can’t wait to put a smile on the faces of all of our memory care residents!
