Dee Medlin

Executive Director

Dee was born and raised in Mooresville, NC and graduated from Mooresville High School where she was a part of the state volleyball championship team. Dee’s passion for senior living began in high school when she started her career right here at TerraBella Lake Norman as a concierge. Within the first year, she was promoted into the Business Office Director’s role before recently becoming the Executive Director. Dee’s passion drove her to study business at Appalachian State University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a primary focus in Management.

In an effort to consistently provide the management principles, strategic thinking, and vital leadership skills required of a healthcare administrator, Dee will be continuing her education at Appalachian State this year to obtain a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. Her enthusiasm to support our seniors and provide guidance to her TerraBella Lake Norman team resonates throughout our community. With more than 14 years of experience in senior living, she will be happy to answer any questions that you may have!

Senior Lifestyle Counselor

Katie began her career right here at TerraBella Lake Norman over a decade ago while she was still in college. Over the years, she has gained experience in various aspects of senior living including assisting the business office and for the bulk of her career helping seniors and their families navigate the variety of options for the right senior living solution. Katie and her husband enjoy traveling and spending every precious moment with their young daughter, Claire.

Lynn Ann McConnell

Director of Health & Wellness

Lynn grew up in Long Island, NY who always dreamed to become a nurse. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Molloy College, Lynn started her nursing career as an ER and Trauma nurse. Her love for serving seniors led her to a career path in leadership roles in long-term care nursing over the last 10 years. She also devotes time to writing and work as a legal nurse consultant. In her free time, Lynn enjoys family game night as well as camping and fishing with friends and giving warm cuddles to her dog, Maddie.

Gary Kunkel - Assistant Director of Health & Wellness - headshot

Assistant Director of Health & Wellness

Gary resided for 20 years in Arizona before moving here in 2019 to further his nursing career. Gary has worked in the senior living industry and hospital settings before earning his title as Assistant Director of Health & Wellness here at TerraBella Lake Norman. Gary has also worked in other areas including Director for the Humane Society in Arizona. After caring for his father prior to his passing, Gary was inspired to become a nurse. Among his accomplishments during his decade-long nursing career, Gary the honor to care for former Supreme Court, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. When he is not tending to the needs of the seniors at TerraBella Lake Norman, Gary enjoys spending time traveling and restoring vintage lighting, but mostly he looks forward to spending time with his wife of 38 years, his three grown children and five grandchildren.

Ever since she was young, Jari has had a passion for enriching the lives of seniors. As a young student, she and her classmates visited senior living communities providing entertainment performances for the residents. She has a long history of event and entertainment planning working in the senior care industry. Jari lives in Mooresville and moved here from Florida to be near her family. When not spoiling the TerraBella Lake Norman residents with her fun wit, charm, and infectious smile, Jari likes to make lasting memories in her free time with her daughter, Jaclyn, and her two grandchildren, Daxton and Lynnon.

After attending culinary college in the Philadelphia area, Mark worked in fine dining with an additional focus on hotel and banquet services. Mark has more than ten years of experience within healthcare and in the short time at TerraBella Lake Norman, he has dazzled the residents with his wide variety of culinary skills. He has also tapped into the wealth of cooking experience of our residents by incorporating some of their “secret” family recipes into his menus. Mark has lived in North Carolina for thirteen years and as a foodie himself, loves to travel the world looking for new culinary inspiration at every turn.

Anita Perry

Memory Care Director

Anita moved to North Carolina 16 years ago from Minnesota. Her passion throughout her life has been to always help others. This led to her decision to pursue a career in healthcare. She has served seniors in the skilled nursing setting as well as assisted living and in memory care communities.  She takes great pride in not only being an advocate for those with dementia, but also in developing and implementing specialized programs for individuals with dementia. When not working she enjoys gardening and reading. She is a mother of 3 and treasures time with her family
