Executive Director

Executive Director, Christian Smith, has a wealth of experience in the senior living industry. His grandmother Josephine inspired him to begin his career in senior living by simply sharing her lifetime stories. Unbeknownst to Christian, her stories revealed the “hidden treasures” that still exist today…our senior population! Christian has lived in North Carolina majority of his life but has also lived in Arizona and Washington. He attended American Intercontinental University and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in healthcare management and earned a master’s degree in healthcare management. To be truly successful, he believes that a leader must have a servant leader mentality. Christian is married with six wonderful children and loves spending time with his family and friends. He is an athlete at heart and a true fan of Michael Jordan and the San Francisco 49ers.


Kristen Carroll

Senior Lifestyle Counselor

Senior Lifestyle Counselor, Kristen Carroll, has gained experience through several management and sales positions with a focus on healthcare and senior living. She considers herself performance-driven and a genuine people-person. She is family-oriented and brings this compassionate approach to everything she does with the team members and residents and their families. Back in 2000, Kristen moved from Ohio to North Carolina and she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and doodle dog.


Sherrie Stohl

Director of Celebrations

Director of Celebrations, Sherrie Stohl, has been a music teacher and entertainer for more than 40 years. Now, she feels blessed and honored to have the opportunity to enrich the lives of those living in our community. A native Texan, Sherrie moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2018. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her three beautiful grandchildren.


Deborah Carmichael

Memory Care Coordinator

Memory Care Coordinator, Deborah Carmichael, has been in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years, mainly as a manager for home health care. For the last 10 years, her focus has been on dementia. She is dedicated to helping those that are living with dementia and offering support to families. Deborah enjoys coming to work every day and is recognized by families for all that she does for their loved ones. She enjoys spending time with her family and five standard poodles. Deborah has been an ordained minister for more than 20 years and one of her greatest things to do is to preach the gospel.
